Employee Finds Limits of Title VII’s Participation Clause After Copying Personnel Files

A woman filed charges against her employer, the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, after she received a disciplinary sanction that prevented her from receiving a promotion. When the Sheriff’s Officer learned of her actions, they terminated her for violating department policy and state law. Learn more about the case here.
