LMP Holdings, Inc recently learned a valuable lesson in waiting too long to file an insurance claim. In September 2017, Hurricane Irma rocked South Florida, including the city of Miami, where LMP Holdings owned commercial property. The property was covered under an all-risk policy with Scottsdale Insurance Company. For various reasons, LMP Holdings waited 27 months post-hurricane to file a claim with their insurer. LMP Holdings filed suit against Scottsdale Insurance Company, but the court didn’t agree with LMP’s claims. Learn why.
